 The Story Behind the Name

Grandpa Ron

Ron lived and worked in Leeds, starting his career as a builder within his father's firm.  He went on to qualify as a master-builder, pursuing his love for design and business.

He pushed the business forward as the company's architect - even sending floorplan sketches home from the Western Front during WWII.

The family firm built over 1,000 houses in Leeds, with beautiful examples of his architecture, characterised as the "Collingham style", still iconic today.

Ron was awarded for his contribution to local housebuilding and design by the Collingham Village Society, supported by Grandma Jos.  This newspaper clipping sat understatedly on their sideboard at Grove House.

A strong influence on her life and career, Grove House is the perfect way for Lorna to honour her Grandpa's legacy.

The Original Grove House, Leeds

Ron designed and built his family home in 1955 which he named "Grove House".
His forever home, he lived there until the age of 97.
Lorna continues a family tradition of Property and Construction work going back 100 years, focusing on providing high quality customer service with a personal touch and always adding value to her clients.

Sharing a passion for property, Lorna was proud that her Grandpa Ron saw her train, qualify and become a specialist in her field. In a fitting tribute, Lorna brings her skills to Grove House which is named in memory of him.
